[origin: WO9301464A1] Recoil damping system for a mortar or other heavy firearm mounted on a mobile carrier (1) constituted by the rear waggon or trailer of a belted traction vehicle (3). The firearm (2) is mounted on a base plate (4) provided with sidewalls. A shock absorbing and damping device (7) comprising a prestressed compression spring and a fixed or adjustable damper element is provided between the base plate (4) and the chassis (5) at each corner of the base plate.

Système d'amortissement du recul pour mortiers ou autres armes lourdes montées sur un support mobile (1) constitué de la remorque ou analogue d'un véhicule tracteur à chenille (3). L'arme (2) est montée sur un socle (4) pourvu de parois latérales. Un dispositif amortisseur (7) comportant un ressort de pression précontraint et un élément amortisseur fixe ou réglable est prévu entre le socle (4) et le châssis (5) dans chaque coin dudit socle.
