[origin: EP0548472A2] A case for cosmetics having a housing part, an insert inside the housing part which receives powder dishes and/or the like, and a lid which is linked via a hinge having a first catch which is moulded onto the lid and interacts with a second catch, and having a pusher for unlocking the catches. The problem is safe opening of the case and a high strength of the catches, furthermore a cost-effective producibility of the case and easy operability for the user. The second catch (7) is located in the region of the housing part (2). The pusher (4) is displaceable in the housing part (2), unlocks the catches by pressing thereon and opens the lid. <IMAGE>
