Abstract (en)

A covering film (1) for protecting surfaces, which must not be contaminated during the machining of neighbouring surfaces, consists of a strip-shaped film web (2) folded like a concertina in the longitudinal direction. The folding is carried out in such a way that, next to one of the side edges (3), a strip is left free in which the covering film (1) is single-ply. At this point, there is a reinforcing strip (12) which carries the adhesive (13) on its side facing away from the film web (2). The thickness of the reinforcing strip (12) corresponds to the thickness of the folded-in region. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Eine Abdeckfolie (1) zum Schutz von Flächen, die bei der Bearbeitung von Nachbarflächen nicht verunreinigt werden dürfen, besteht aus einer in Längsrichtung leporelloartig gefalteten bandförmigen Folienbahn (2). Die Faltung ist derart ausgeführt, daß neben einer der Seitenkanten (3) ein Streifen frei bleibt, in dem die Abdeckfolie (1) einlagig ist. Dort befindet sich ein Verstärkungsstreifen (12), der den Klebstoff (13) auf seiner von der Folienbahn (2) wegweisenden Seite trägt. Die Dicke des Verstärkungsstreifens (12) entspricht der Stärke des eingefalteten Bereiches. <IMAGE>
