[origin: EP0548588A1] A device for making boreholes in the ground with simultaneous pipe laying, in particular for making well boreholes, comprises an earth borer (10) with a drive device (12) and a displacement head (14) arranged coaxially to the drive device (12). The outside diameter of the displacement head (14) is greater than the outside diameter of the drive device and of the pipe (16) encasing the latter, and the frictional connection between the displacement head (14) and the drive device is designed to be releasable, at least three liquid-jet nozzles (18), pointing roughly in the drilling direction, being arranged on the displacement head (14) at least approximately symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the displacement head (14). <IMAGE>
