[origin: EP0548623A1] In order to be able to accommodate between the feed bars (6, 7) the supporting elements (12, 13) of a supporting device (15), which serve to support the sheet-metal parts in areas remote from the feed bars and central with respect to the feed bars (6, 7), telescopic tubes (18, 19) are connected to the feed bars (6, 7). The tubes (18, 19) extend in the direction of the opening and closing movement of the feed bars (6, 7) and, in the area which is central with respect to the feed bars (6, 7), carry a sleeve (20). The central position of the sleeve (20) is brought about by means of guide means (17) on the frame. The sleeve (20) is provided with the supporting elements (12, 13), which support the sheet-metal parts, which are separated in the final processing stage of the press. <IMAGE>
