[origin: EP0548655A1] Heating device with a burner acting upon a heat exchanger and a waste gas pipe made of a combustible or only limitedly temperature-resistant material, in the connection region of which to a combustion chamber receiving the burner a safety temperature limiter is arranged, which, when a given temperature is exceeded, emits a signal which influences the fuel supply of the burner. In order, in the case of such a burner, to avoid a predetermined temperature of the waste gas being exceeded, it is envisaged that the safety temperature limiter is formed by a temperature sensor (13), which is arranged in the waste gas line (10), and an evaluating circuit (14) which processes the signals of the sensor and which comprises a threshold switch, which causes the burner (2) to be switched off when the threshold is exceeded, and a control circuit which, when a predetermined threshold is approached, emits a signal which influences the output adjustment of the burner (2) with the effect of a reduction thereof. <IMAGE>
