The invention relates to a method of increasing the water depth of a watercourse, in which bed material of the watercourse bed is removed or carried away, preferably swirled up and drawn off. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for increasing the water depth of a watercourse, which has a means capable of acting on the bed material of the watercourse bed for removing or carrying away bed material, preferably a swirling and/or suction means, preferably for carrying out the aforesaid method. The object of the invention is to show a method and a device of the generic category mentioned at the beginning which enable the water depth of a watercourse to be increased even in the case of a relatively harder watercourse bed. The object is achieved according to the invention by resistant bed material being weakened. In the solution according to the invention of the set object, a device according to the invention is distinguished by a high-pressure jet means (6) for forming at least one high-pressure jet which can be directed against the watercourse bed (1), comprising at least one high-pressure pump and at least one high-pressure nozzle. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Vergrößern der Wassertiefe eines Gewässers, bei dem Grundmaterial des Gewässergrundes beseitigt oder abgetragen, vorzugsweise aufgewirbelt und abgesaugt wird. Weiter betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Vergrößern der Wassertiefe eines Gewässers, welche eine auf das Grundmaterial des Gewässergrundes einwirkfähige Einrichtung zur Beseitigung oder Abtragung von Grundmaterial, vorzugsweise eine Aufwirbelungs- und/oder Saugeinrichtung, aufweist, vorzugsweise zur Durchführung des vorgenannten Verfahrens. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren bzw. eine Vorrichtung der eingangs genannten Gattung aufzuzeigen, das bzw. die eine Vergrößerung der Wassertiefe eines Gewässers auch bei einem relativ härteren Gewässergrund ermöglicht. Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß widerstehendes Grundmaterial geschwächt wird. Eine erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung zeichnet sich in erfindungsgemäßer Lösung der gestellten Aufgabe aus durch eine Hochdruckstrahleinrichtung (6) zur Bildung wenigstens eines gegen den Gewässergrund (1) richtbaren Hochdruckstrahles, umfassend wenigstens eine Hochdruckpumpe und wenigstens eine Hochdruckdüse. <IMAGE>
