What is described is a manipulator for guiding running, flexurally resistant yarns, with a drawing-in orifice for the yarns and an outlet orifice as well as a gripping piece, a mechanical drawing-in device which draws the yarns through the drawing-in orifice into the device, and a cutting device, to which the yarns are fed from the drawing-in device and which cuts these into short portions, in which manipulator the drawing-in device (21) and the cutting device (23) are separated and are connected to one another by means of a flexible tube (7), through which the flexurally resistant monofilament or multifilament drawn in by the drawing-in device is pushed to the cutting device, as well as a method for guiding running, flexurally resistant yarns by the use of this device. <IMAGE>

Beschrieben wird ein Manipulator zum Führen von laufenden, biegesteifen Fäden mit einer Einzugsöffnung für die Fäden und eine Auslaßöffnung sowie einem Griffstück, einer mechanischen Einzugsvorrichtung, die die Fäden durch die Einzugsöffnung in die Vorrichtung einzieht, einer Schneidvorrichtung, der die Fäden von der Einzugsvorrichtung zugeführt werden und die diese in kurze Abschnitte zerschneidet, bei welchem die Einzugsvorrichtung (21) und die Schneidvorrichtung (23) getrennt, und durch eine flexible Röhre (7) miteinander verbunden sind, durch die das von der Einzugsvorrichtung eingezogene biegesteife Mono- oder Multifilament der Schneidvorrichtung zugeschoben wird, sowie ein Verfahren zum Führen von laufenden, biegesteifen Fäden unter Verwendung dieser Vorrichtung. <IMAGE>
