Abstract (en)
A thermoplastic-carbon resistive rod is made by extr SIMILAR ding a heated mixture of carbon black, acetylene black, silica and a polymer resin. The resistive rod is cooled and cut into sections forming resistive bodies. Resistors are formed by fusing terminals to ends of the rods, welding leads to the terminals, and encapsulating the bodies and terminals in an epoxy material.
