[origin: EP0549392A1] Semifinished fusible interlining (1) comprising a textile support (3) and fusible means, intended to be bonded to a textile article (2), in which interlining a layer (5) of heat-expandable polymers is used in combination with the textile support (3), the temperature of expansion of the said polymers being lower than the temperature of application of the fusible means, the purpose of the layer (5) of heat-expandable polymers being to form a screen against the fusible means and to increase the relief of the fusible means, this having the effect of avoiding the phenomena of backflow and breakthrough and of increasing the bond strength. <IMAGE>
