Abstract (en)

Fibre-reinforced gypsum panel made up of at least one layer of fibre-reinforced gypsum in which the cellulose fibres are dispersed and which is optionally used in combination with other layers with identical or different physicochemical characteristics, this layer of fibre-reinforced gypsum being characterised in that its density is moderate, even in the absence of lightening materials and in that the fibres dispersed in the said layer are preferentially oriented in the lengthwise direction of the panel so that the flexural breaking strength of the layer in the lengthwise direction is higher than the flexural breaking strength in the transverse direction of the layer.

L'invention concerne une plaque de plâtre fibré, composée d'au moins une couche de plâtre fibré, dans laquelle les fibres cellulosiques sont dispersées, éventuellement combinée avec d'autres couches de caractéristiques physico-chimiques identiques ou différentes, cette couche de plâtre fibré étant caractérisée en ce que sa masse volumique est modérée, même en l'absence de matières allégeantes et en ce que les fibres, dispersées dans ladite couche, sont préférentiellement orientées selon la direction longitudinale de la plaque, de sorte que la résistance à la rupture en flexion de la couche dans le sens longitudinal soit supérieure à la résistance à la rupture en flexion dans le sens transversal de la couche.
