[origin: WO9205393A1] A process and device are disclosed for drying solid materials. The purpose of the invention is to allow the thermal energy used for drying to be recovered and the emissions produced during degassing and gasification to be reduced. A process and a device for drying solid materials must be created in such a way that they allow the purpose of the invention to be put into practice. To that end process steps are disclosed that relate to the temperature of the fluidized bed, to the supply of solid materials having a high mass proportion of evaporable material to the fluidized bed and the evacuation of dried solid materials therefrom, as well as to the gaseous substances of the evaporable material and other gaseous impurities evacuated with the vapour. The device disclosed to implement the process is composed of a combination of several characteristics.
