[origin: WO9201934A1] The blood testing apparatus includes a fluid flow control system (38) for moving a fluid containing blood cells through an electromagnetic field, and detecting the change in the electromagnetic field caused by the passing of the blood cell. The fluid flow control system includes a pump (40) and a series of valves (52, 70, 82), all controlled by a controller (43). The pump (40) draws the blood cells through the electromagnetic field. The size of the blood cell can be determined by the measurement of the value of the voltage change resulting from the passage of the blood cell through the electromagnetic field.

L'appareil pour tester le sang décrit comprend un système (38) de régulation de l'écoulement liquide qui sert à amener un liquide contenant des cellules sanguines à traverser un champ électromagnétique, et à détecter les variations du champ électromagnétique lors du passage de la cellule sanguine. Le système de régulation de l'écoulement liquide comprend une pompe (40) et une série de soupapes (52, 70, 82), qui sont toutes commandées par une unité de commande (43). La pompe (40) entraîne par aspiration les cellules sanguines à travers le champ électromagnétique. On peut déterminer la taille de la cellule sanguine en mesurant la valeur de la variation de tension résultant du passage de la cellule sanguine à travers le champ électromagnétique.
