[origin: EP0549821A1] The procedure serves to hone two or more aligned bore holes which are provided inside a workpiece and are connected to one another. If such bore holes are worked simultaneously with a single honing tool, geometrical inaccuracies occur if correspondingly long honing sticks are used and dimensional inaccuracies as a result of different wear occur if two sets of honing sticks arranged one above the other are used. These disadvantages are avoided with the procedure according to the invention, in which the bore holes (2 and 3) are honed in successive working steps, the honing tool (5) working with short honing sticks (6) in one bore (2 or 3) and being guided with guide sections (9; 10) in another bore (3 or 2). <IMAGE>
