[origin: WO9205003A1] The invention relates to a hand tool comprising an elongate body (2), a reduction gear (4) mounted in the body, a guide bar (12) around which a cutting chain (18) runs, and transmission means for transmitting the output torque of the reduction gear to the cutting chain (18). The guide bar (12) is pivotable about an axis substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the body and extends in a plane parallel with the pivot axis. Moreover, the guide bar (12) is fixable in an optional position about said axis, while extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the body.

Outil à main comprenant un corps allongé (2), un engrenage réducteur (4) monté dans le corps, une barre de guidage (12) autour de laquelle passe une chaîne coupante (18), ainsi qu'un moyen de transmission destiné à transmettre la torsion de sortie de l'engrenage réducteur à la chaîne coupante (18). La barre de guidage (12) pivote autour d'un axe parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du corps et s'étend dans un plan parallèle à l'axe de pivot. De plus, la barre de guidage (12) peut être placée dans une position optionnelle autour dudit axe, tout en s'étendant perpendiculairement au sens longitudinal du corps.
