[origin: WO9205799A1] Disclosed herein are methods for inhibiting cell fusion between human T-lymphocytes infected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or free human immunodeficiency virus and uninfected human T-lymphocytes comprising administering inhibitory effective amounts of HIV protein gp120 and CD4-Immunoadhesion and immunogenic composiitions for use in the methods.
