Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9300203A1] A combination razor handle and blade dispenser cover are provided, the razor handle assembly (10) comprising a grip portion formed of a pair of shells (14, 16) mounted on opposite sides of a substantially flat planar body member (12). The pair of shells (14, 16) extend downwardly at an angle beyond one end of the planar body member (12) and form a housing containing operative structure responsive to a pair of opposed buttons (30, 31) extending outwardly from the housing sides to provide attachment of a razor blade assembly onto the handle. The cover (10) for retaining a dispenser containing a plurality of safety razor blade cartridges is employed with the razor which has a hand or finger gripping portion with a concave surface (108) provided with a plurality of sinuous recesses (106) formed therein. The dispenser cover (110) is comprised of wall structure forming a substantially rectangular cavity (116) for receiving and retaining a blade cartridge dispenser and one wall comprises an outer surface (132) having a convex shape for mating engagement with the razor concave surface (108). A pair of sinuous outwardly projecting ribs (134, 136) for interfitting engagement with a selected pair of recesses (106) on the razor gripping portion is disposed on the convex surface (132) of the dispenser cover (110) and serves to locate and retain the razor, dispenser cover combination as a unit for packaging and storage of the razor when not in use.
