Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0552459A1] The invention relates to a darkening device with a roller shutter (1), a roller (2) for winding the roller shutter (1) up, an electric drive motor (6), which is preferably made in the form of a tubular motor and arranged in the inside of the roller (2), and a control device (11) for controlling the drive motor (6), the control device (11) being operable by various switches or sensors. The aim of the invention is to make a drive of the control device (11) of a darkening device of the type in question, which drive works electronically to as great an extent as possible, is easy to install and adjust and is economical. This aim is achieved according to the invention in that end position sensors are assigned to the roller (2) or to the drive motor (6) and detect electronically the rotations of the roller (2) or of the output shaft of the drive motor (6), and, from the detected rotations of the roller (2) or of the output shaft of the drive motor (6), the control device (11) determines the reaching of the end positions at the top or at the bottom. <IMAGE>
