[origin: EP0552609A1] In the mixing and kneading device, the rotating kneading shaft (2) is equipped with kneading tools (3), kneading elements being directly connected to the casing which are longitudinally and axially distributed and serve as counter-kneading elements (4) for the kneading tools (3). As a result of this, the rotating kneading tools (3) and the fixed kneading counter-elements (4) are almost completely cleaned. The space-time yield and dispersion of the fed-in substances can be substantially improved if the metering device for the fed-in substances is arranged inside or in the immediate vicinity of at least one of the counter-kneading elements which are fixedly connected to the casing (1). <IMAGE>
