An apparatus for sorting and/or counting coins has a turntable and a guide ring which surrounds the latter and which has a coin exit with a sorting and/or counting channel adjoining it, there being provided at least in the region of the coin exit a coin-stripping element which limits the clear height of the coin exit and which is vertically adjustable. So that it is possible to ensure that the coins pass the coin exit only individually, that is to say not lying one on top of the other, the coin-stripping element (9) is guided so as to be freely movable vertically between at least two positions and is coupled to an adjusting device (48) for the vertical movement of the coin-stripping element (9) while the apparatus (1) is in operation. <IMAGE>

Ein Gerät zum Sortieren und/oder Zählen von Münzen weist einen Drehteller und einen diesen umgebenden Führungsring auf, welcher einen Münzaustritt mit einem sich daran anschließenden Sortier- und/oder Zählkanal hat, wobei zumindest im Bereich des Münzaustrittes eine die lichte Höhe des Münzaustrittes begrenzendes Münzabstreifelement vorgesehen ist, das hohenverstellbar ist. Damit gesichert werden kann, daß Münzen nur einzeln, also nicht übereinanderliegend, den Münzaustritt passieren, ist das Münzabstreifelement (9) zwischen mindestens zwei Stellungen vertikal frei beweglich geführt und mit einer Verstelleinrichtung (48) zur vertikalen Bewegung des Münzabstreifelements (9) während des Betriebs des Gerätes (1) gekoppelt. <IMAGE>
