[origin: EP0552713A1] There is a tool in which a main body 1 bears, for the purpose of thread rolling, profiled rollers 9 which, on the main body 1, are each laid against an axially positioning stop 6, 7, 8 and, with the free ends 10, are offset in the axial direction in accordance with the pitch of the thread to be rolled. It is desirable if the axial offset of the free ends of the profiled rollers be achieved in a less expensive manner by identical design of all the profiled rollers. This provides an essential prerequisite for the development of the rolling tool into a disposable tool. <IMAGE>
