[origin: EP0552994A1] The shoe comprises at least one spring (R), particularly a metal spring, located in the sole between an upper plate (2), extending as far as the rear of the shoe, and a lower plate (3), for absorbing the impacts of the shoe on the ground. The upper plate (2) is rigid and is situated entirely to the rear of a transverse line (L) intended to be under the metatarsus (4) of the user's foot; the sole has a transverse articulation zone (5) at the level of this line (L) so that the angle formed between the plane of the rigid upper plate (2) and the part (6) of the sole situated in front of the articulation zone can vary; the walls of the upper (9) of the shoe, which surround the user's foot, are fixed at their lower part, to the rigid plate (2); the spring(s) (R, 11) is (are) situated under the only zone of the rigid plate intended to be under the user's heel, the whole assembly being such that the variations in the load applied to the spring (R, 11) give rise to an oscillation movement of the rigid upper plate (2) about the transverse articulation line (L), relative to the lower plate (3). <IMAGE>
