[origin: EP0552996A1] Female contact element of the type produced from a metal blank having a degree of elasticity, the said blank being cut and folded so as to have, at one end, means for connecting it to an electrical circuit, while at the other end it is shaped in order to have a conduit with a rectangular cross-section, intended to receive a male electrical contact element (15), two opposed walls of the conduit being extended in order to form springy blades (10, 12) which are bent inside the said conduit in order to form a springy clamp to grip the said male element (15), characterised in that each springy blade (10, 12) includes, on its surface facing the other springy blade, at least two projections (14), each projection of one of the blades being arranged in order to coincide with the corresponding projection of the other blade, and the projections adopting the shape of a pyramid. <IMAGE>
