[origin: EP0553666A1] A vertically adjustable support (10) which is intended for shutterings in the building industry and is preferably manufactured from aluminium is composed of an outer pipe (12) on which a threaded nut is fastened in a captive fashion, and of an inner pipe (11) which has threaded portions (13, 14) on the outer surface. This configuration results in a robust support (10), the inner pipe (11) of which is mounted and guided in the outer pipe (12) such that it is fixed in terms of rotation.
