Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH05254708A] PURPOSE: To provide a device for extracting a print product and a sample of a signature from a folder capable of separating the signature to a required transport conveyor. CONSTITUTION: The device for extracting a sample from a folder comprises a cutting cylinder pair 3 including a blade cylinder 4 and a grooved cylinder 5. In this case, the cylinder 4 has at least one cutting blade 7 mounted on a periphery thereof, the cylinder 5 has at least one groove bar 6, a respective holding device 9 for signatures assigned to the groove bar, conveyor tapes for conveying signatures emerging from a nip between the cylinder 4 and the cylinder 5 of the cutting cylinder pair 3 to a signature delivery and to a conveyor 10 assigned to the cutting cylinder pair 3, and a device for remotely controlling the conveyor belts 11, 12, 13 and the holding devices.
