Abstract (en)
The object of the invention is to test the ends of cigarettes, especially to detect cigarette ends which have been insufficiently filled with tobacco. A corresponding testing arrangement has a conveyor for conveying the cigarettes past a first testing station (B) to test the quantities of tobacco in the cigarette ends. The object is achieved according to the invention in that at least one further testing station (C) is provided for detecting the quantities of tobacco in the ends of the cigarettes conveyed on the conveyor. The invention makes cigarette end detection much more sensitive; in particular, fewer satisfactory cigarette ends, i.e. ones adequately filled with tobacco, are detected and separated out as defective, i.e. ones which have been insufficiently filled with tobacco. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe des Prüfens der Enden von Zigaretten, insbesondere des Erfassens von unzureichend mit Tabak gefüllten Zigarettenenden, zugrunde. Eine entsprechende Prüfanordnung weist einen Förderer zum Fördern der Zigaretten vorbei an einer ersten Prüfstation (B) für die Tabakmengen in den Zigarettenenden auf. Die Lösung gemäß der Erfindung ist gekennzeichnet durch mindestens eine weitere Prüfstation (C) zum Erfassen der Tabakmengen in den Enden der auf dem Förderer geförderten Zigaretten. Durch die Erfindung wird die Empfindlichkeit der Zigarettenendenerfassung wesentlich verbessert; insbesondere werden weniger an sich gute, d. h. ausreichend mit Tabak gefüllte Zigarettenenden als fehlerhaft, d. h. mit zuwenig Tabak gefüllt, erfaßt und ausgesondert. <IMAGE>
