Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9303803A1] A safety ski binding has an electronic evaluation circuit (4) connected to electric signal emitting force transducers (4) of an electric current supply (11), for example a battery, and to an electromechanical triggering member that drives a control element for a locking mechanism that engages a movably mounted sole retaining element (17). The electromechanical triggering member is arranged with at least part of the control element in a hermetically sealed housing (6) of a switching module. The control element is designed as a shaft (7) that sealingly crosses the wall of the housing. In order to ensure that the triggering characteristics of such a ski binding are highly insensitive to accelerating forces acting on the triggering mechanism, the electromechanical triggering member is an electric motor (105') that preferably controls by means of a gear a locking system that locks and releases the shaft (7) that acts as a control element.
