[origin: WO9302635A1] A chamber made of a biocompatible material, adapted to be implanted in a host, adapted to substantially contain biological material immunologically compatible with the host, having a wall, having holes traversing the wall where the holes have an inner diameter at the narrowest point large enough to permit a functional host capillary to traverse the thickness of the wall, and where said holes are numerous enough to permit said host capillary to support the viability of the contained biological material.

Une chambre fabriquée dans un matériau biocompatible, conçue pour être implantée chez un individu hôte et pouvant contenir une matière biologique compatible immunologiquement avec l'individu, comporte une paroi, des trous traversant ladite paroi, ceux-ci ayant à l'endroit le plus étroit un diamètre intérieur suffisamment grand pour permettre à un capillaire fonctionnel de l'hôte de traverser l'épaisseur de la paroi; et ces trous sont assez nombreux pour permettre audit capillaire de l'hôte de préserver la viabilité de la matière biologique contenue.
