[origin: DE4128887A1] A vise-grip wrench (10) has two clamping arms (12, 14) that extend in a first direction and are movable towards each other in a second direction, transversely to the first direction, each of them being provided with a jaw (16, 18). The vise-grip wrench (10) further has two grip levers (46, 106), of which the first is fixed to the first clamping arm and the second is hingedly linked to the second clamping arm, and a pressure lever (112) hinged on the one hand to the second grip lever and resting on the other hand against a stop of the first grip lever, forming with the second grip lever a toggle lever mechanism, by means of which the jaws (16, 18) can be moved in said second direction from an initial position to a clamping position, exerting a predetermined clamping force, and can be blocked in said clamping position in order to clamp a workpiece. Such a vise-grip wrench, is improved so that two workpieces curved in the vicinity of a dividing point may be clamped with a single vise-grip wrench. For that purpose the first jaw (16, 18) can freely swivel within a predetermined swivelling range on the clamping arm that carries it around a tipping axis that extends in a perpendicular direction to said second direction.

Une pince-étau (10) comporte deux bras de serrage (12, 14) qui s'écartent l'un de l'autre dans une première direction et se rapprochent l'un de l'autre dans une seconde direction transversale à la première direction, chacun de ces bras étant pourvu d'un mors (16, 18). Ladite pince-étau (10) comporte en outre deux leviers (46, 106) dont le premier est fixé au premier bras de serrage et dont le second est relié par une articulation au second bras de serrage, ainsi qu'un levier de pression (112) articulé, d'une part, sur le second levier et reposant, d'autre part, contre une butée du premier levier, formant ainsi avec le second levier un mécanisme à levier à genouillère, au moyen duquel les mors (16, 18) peuvent être déplacés dans ladite seconde direction, d'une position initiale vers une position de serrage, exerçant ainsi une force de serrage prédéterminée, et peuvent être bloqués dans ladite position de serrage afin de serrer une pièce. Une telle pince-étau est améliorée de façon que deux pièces présentant une courbure à proximité d'un point de séparation peuvent être serrées à l'aide d'une seule pince-étau. A cet effet, le premier mors (16, 18) peut librement osciller dans une zone d'oscillation prédéterminée, sur le bras de serrage qui la porte, autour d'un axe d'inclinaison qui s'étend dans une direction perpendiculaire à ladite seconde direction.
