[origin: EP0555533A1] A stackable container (1, 1') is proposed which has a lower part (3, 3') and a lid (9, 9') arranged thereon. The container (1, 1') is stackable, in the stacking position in each case the lower part (3') of an upper container (1') sitting on the lid (9) of the lower container (1) arranged directly underneath. The stacked containers can be connected to form a combined transport unit. For this purpose, the lower part (3, 3') of the container (1, 1') has connecting means (14) using which a releasable connection can be made between the lower parts of two containers (1, 1'), sitting in each case directly one on top of the other, of a container stack. The lid (9) of a lower container (1) in each case is secured between the lower part (3) of the said lower container (1) and the lower part (3') of the upper container (1') arranged directly thereabove. <IMAGE>
