Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a process for manufacturing end-grained wooden tiles (6) from pieces of unseasoned wood, comprising the following operations: 1) mutually parallel cuts (4) are made transversely to the grain of the wood so that the section of the tile to be obtained is freed and so that the piece of wood remains in a single block; 2) next, the piece is seasoned; 3) finally, the piece is sawn longitudinally so as to break its continuity and to obtain tiles (6) having the desired cross-section. The process according to the invention is particularly suited to the manufacture of end-grained wooden parquet starting from small-diameter logs. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de carreaux en bois de bout (6) à partir de pièces de bois non séché, comprenant les opérations suivantes : 1°) des entailles (4) parallèles entre elles sont réalisées transversalement au fil du bois de telle sorte que la section du carreau à obtenir soit dégagée et que la pièce de bois reste d'un seul bloc ; 2°) ensuite, la pièce est séchée ; 3°) enfin, la pièce est sciée longitudinalement de sorte à rompre sa continuité et à obtenir des carreaux (6) ayant la section voulue. Le procédé selon l'invention est particulièrement adapté à la fabrication de parquets en bois de bout à partir de rondins de faible diamètre. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
