A further development of a nail file gives a nail file which has at least one file groove 2 coated with sapphire, the sapphire being held in a nickel layer. Whereas previously in the case of such nail files the entire surface was inevitably nickel-plated, which is expensive and limits the possibilities of providing an attractive surface design, the novel nail file is only subject to nickel plating insofar as the sapphire is to be bound. For this purpose, the file body 1 is provided according to the invention with a slot 4 and the file groove 2 is designed as an insert part made of nickel-plated plastic and adapted to the slot 4. The novel nail file is distinguished by a low expenditure on nickel plating, furthermore by the possibility of being able to freely select the surface design in other respects. The insert part can have a connecting web 3 on its lower side. Moreover, the insert part or the connecting web 3 can be provided with lateral projections or cutouts which interact with corresponding cutouts or projections in the slot 4 of the file body 1. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Nagelfeile mit mindestens einer mit Saphir beschichteten Feilenrille 2 weitergebildet, wobei der Saphir in einer Nickelschicht gehalten ist. Während bei solchen Nagelfeilen bisher zwangsläufig die gesamte Oberfläche vernickelt wurde, was aufwendig ist und die Möglichkeiten einer attraktiven Oberflächengestaltung einschränkt, unterliegt die neue Nagelfeile nur insoweit einer Vernickelung, wie Saphir eingebunden werden soll. Dazu ist der Feilenkörper 1 erfindungsgemäß mit einer Nut 4 versehen und ist die Feilenrille 2 als ein der Nut 4 angepaßtes Einsatzteil aus vernickeltem Kunststoff ausgebildet. Die neue Nagelfeile zeichnet sich durch einen geringen Vernickelungsaufwand aus, ferner durch die Möglichkeit einer im übrigen frei wählbaren Oberflächengestaltung. Im einzelnen kann das Einsatzteil an seiner Unterseite einen Verbindungssteg 3 aufweisen. Im übrigen kann das Einsatzteil oder der Verbindungssteg 3 mit seitlichen Vorsprüngen oder Ausnehmungen versehen sein, welche mit entsprechenden Ausnehmungen oder Vorsprüngen in der Nut 4 des Feilenkörpers 1 zusammenwirken. <IMAGE>
