[origin: EP0555728A1] A toilet with a protective paper cover for the seat (5) uses protective paper covers in the form of paper blocks (15, 16), a plurality of paper blocks (15, 16) being fastened one behind the other in a receiving space (3) of a fixed housing (1). A clamping device (18) for grasping and tearing off the respective frontmost cover paper of the paper block (15, 16) is arranged on the seat (5). In order to obtain a relatively large paper store and to prevent the paper store from unintentionally running out it is provided that a plurality of paper blocks are fastened one behind the other in the receiving space and that a pressure arrangement (22) presses the multiple arrangement of the paper blocks (15, 16) in the direction of the clamping device (18). <IMAGE>
