Abstract (en)
In the case of the high-pressure discharge lamp having a pinched discharge vessel and a metal halide filling, the electrodes (4) consist of a straight shank (17) on whose end facing the discharge arc a helical part (18) is placed which has turns which lie tightly against one another. Melted on to the free tip of the shank (17) is a solid head part which consists of tungsten, has a spherical shape at least in the direction of the discharge arc and is in close thermal contact with the helical part (18). The electrode shape results in a major reduction in flickering during operation of the lamp. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei der Hochdruckentladungslampe mit einem gequetschten Entladungsgefäß und einer Metallhalogenidfüllung bestehen die Elektroden (4) aus einem geraden Schaft (17), auf dessen dem Entladungsbogen zugewandten Ende ein Wendelteil (18) mit dicht aneinanderliegenden Windungen gesteckt ist. Auf die freie Spitze des Schaftes (17) ist ein massives Kopfteil aus Wolfram aufgeschmolzen, das zumindest in Richtung Entladungsbogen eine kugelförmige Gestalt aufweist und einen engen thermischen Kontakt mit dem Wendelteil (18) besitzt. Durch die Elektrodenform wird eine starke Reduzierung des Flickerns beim Betrieb der Lampe erreicht. <IMAGE>
