Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0555762A1] The push-button (1) for a timepiece includes a mobile head (3) mounted slidably on a tube (4), the said head partially enveloping this tube. The head has a central cylindrical shank (5) which penetrates into the tube, at least one O-ring seal (6) being situated between the tube and the shank. A restoring spring (7) pushes the head back towards the outside. The shank (5) is prolonged by a stem (8) whose diameter is larger than the diameter of the shank, the spring being arranged between the stem and the tube. In this way, the spring is situated in a waterproof region of the push-button and the mean diameter of the O-ring seal is smaller than the mean diameter of the spring. <IMAGE>
