[origin: WO9208922A1] A method of lining a pipeline or passageway surface (10) wherein a first flexible tubular member (22) is everted into a pipeline or passageway surface to be lined, and to the trailing end of the first flexible tube is connected the folded thermoplastic lining pipe (30) so that it is pulled into the pipeline or passageway by virtue of the eversion operation, and wherein heated fluid is used for the eversion so that when the thermoplastic pipe is completely inside the pipeline or passageway, it will be surrounded by heated fluid to soften same, following which the softened thermoplastic pipe is inflated by fluid pressure onto the pipeline or passageway surface where it is allowed or caused to solidify in place.

Procédé servant à appliquer un revêtement à une surface de pipeline ou de tunnel (10), selon lequel un premier élément tubulaire flexible (22) est retourné à l'intérieur d'un tunnel ou de pipeline auquel un revêtement doit être appliqué; à l'extrémité traînante du premier tube flexible est relié le tuyau de revêtement thermoplastique replié (30), de sorte que celui-ci est tiré dans le pipeline ou le tunnel par l'intermédiaire de l'opération de retournement; un fluide chauffé est utilisé pour cette opération, de sorte que, lorsque le tuyau thermoplastique se trouve entièrement à l'intérieur du pipeline ou du tunnel, il sera entouré par un fluide chauffé qui va l'amollir, après quoi le tuyau thermoplastique amolli est gonflé par pression fluidique sur la surface de pipeline ou de tunnel, et on le laisse ou on l'amène à se solidifier en place.
