Abstract (en)
An exercise device (10) of the type having a helical spring (11) with V-shaped arms (12,13) is improved by contouring the arms (12,13) to match the surfaces of a person's body through which forces are applied to the device (10). In a preferred embodiment a thigh exerciser (10) has its arms (12,13) bent back toward the spring (11) to define a loop-like platform (18,19), the platform (18,19) being curved or bent to match the contour of the inner thighs of a typical user of the device. <IMAGE>
