[origin: EP0556645A1] A hammer mill (1) having a rotor (4) which rotates about a vertical axis (5) of rotation has impact tools (6) which are attached to the rotor (4) and whose external radii increase in the axial direction with increasing distance from the feed opening (15) for material to be ground. Additionally, laminars (16) are attached to the housing (2) above the impact tools (6).
