Abstract (en)
The invention relates to an iron sole plate comprising a body (1) which is heated by means of an electrical resistor (2) and of which one face called the lower face (6) is intended to be covered by an added thin metal sheet (7) which is fixed by crimping of its edge (8) over the peripheral rim (9) of the body, the outer face (10) of which sheet is intended to form an ironing surface. According to the invention, the metal sheet (7) initially exhibits a slight camber directed towards the body (1), and the lower face (6) of the body exhibits a slight concavity, in such a way that the metal sheet (7), once fixed on the body (1), is held flat by elasticity against the lower face (6) of the body. <IMAGE>

L'invention se rapporte à une semelle de fer à repasser comportant un corps (1) chauffé au moyen d'une résistance électrique (2) et dont une face dite inférieure (6) est destinée à être recouverte d'une tôle mince rapportée (7) qui est fixée par sertissage de son bord (8) sur la bordure périphérique (9) du corps et dont la face externe (10) est destinée à former une surface de repassage. Selon l'invention, la tôle (7) présente initialement une légère cambrure dirigée vers le corps (1) et la face inférieure (6) du corps présente une légère concavité, de manière que la tôle (7), une fois fixée sur le corps (1), soit plaquée par élasticité contre la face inférieure (6) du corps. <IMAGE>
