[origin: EP0556857A1] The invention relates to a working process for the single-bobbin weaving of a piece of double fabric with tied-in dead pile. The fabric produced accordingly is characterised by a colour transfer free of mixed contours. After the transfer of a pile thread 20 previously tied in the lower fabric and active thereafter, this pile thread 20 assumes the following positions: bottom, bottom, top, bottom, in terms of the four following wefts 5, 6, 7, 8. A pile thread 19 active before the transfer and tied in the upper fabric after the transfer of weft threads 5, 6, 7, 8 assumes the following positions: top, bottom, top, top, in terms of the four preceding wefts 1, 2, 3, 4. Finally, the invention relates to pieces of double fabric which are made by at least one of these working methods, as a result of which colour mixtures are avoided. <IMAGE>
