[origin: EP0557202A1] The present invention relates to a furnace for the purification of polluted materials. This furnace comprises a sole plate (3) on which are arranged supports or low walls (8) intended to receive a container (10) containing polluted materials, and comprising orifices (9) for circulating the combustion gases which thus promote the decontamination of the polluted materials and the exhausting from the furnace of the polluting products extracted from these materials by the action of the combustion gases. This furnace allows the purification of diverse articles or materials impregnated with polluting products such as metals or organic materials. <IMAGE>
