[origin: WO9306597A1] The present invention relates to an optical recording element comprising a near-infrared absorbing dye, and acid-photogenerating compound, and an optical near-ultraviolet absorbing sensitizer which bleaches upon exposure to either near-infrared or near-ultraviolet radiation. A method of optical recording with this element is also disclosed.
