Abstract (en)
A centrifugal strainer for the batched separation of solid/liquid mixtures is equipped with a drum (1) which has a cylindrical circumferential wall (3) and a cover (2) which is attached thereto and has a central opening (11) for filling and for a drive shaft (10) to pass through it. In the region of the bottom of the drum, a spider is connected to a hub (9) which is held on the drive shaft (10) in a rotationally secured fashion. In order to empty the bottom of the drum, use is made of movably held, plate-shaped closure elements (14) and of an actuation device (16) by means of which all the closure elements can be moved simultaneously into the closed and open positions. The plate-shaped closure elements (14) form in the closed position the peripheral area of the bottom of the drum (1) and in the open position expose an annular opening (15) which extends from the circumferential wall (3) of the drum (1) as far as at least beyond the thickness of the solid layer (12). After centrifuging, the solid can be discharged from the drum without additional means solely by means of its weight. <IMAGE>

Eine Siebzentrifuge zur chargenweisen Trennung von Flüssigkeits-Feststoffgemischen ist mit einer Trommel (1) ausgerüstet, die eine zylindrische Umfangswand (3) und einen daran befestigten Deckel (2) mit einer zentrischen Öffnung (11) für die Befüllung und für den Druchtritt einer Antriebswelle (10) aufweist. Im Bereich des Bodens der Trommel ist ein Armstern mit einer auf der Antriebswelle (10) drehsicher gehaltenen Nabe (9) verbunden. Zur Bodenentleerung der Trommel dienen bewegbar gehaltene plattenförmige Verschlußelemente (14) und eine Betätigungseinrichtung (16) mittels welcher sämtliche Verschlußelemente gleichzeitig in die Schließ- und Offenstellung überführbar sind. Die plattenförmigen Verschlußelemente (14) bilden in der Schließstellung den peripheren Bereich des Bodens der Trommel (1) und geben in der Offenstellung eine sich von der Umfangswand (3) der Trommel (1) bis wenigstens über die Dicke der Feststoffschicht (12) erstreckende Ringöffnung (15) frei. Nach dem Zentrifugieren kann der Feststoff aus der Trommel ohne zusätzliche Hilfsmittel allein aufgrund seiner Schwerkraft ausgetragen werden. <IMAGE>
