Steam ironing plant comprising an iron (1) equipped with a heating sole plate (2) having steam outlet holes (3), a steam generator (4) communicating with the said steam holes, an independent water reservoir (5), an electric pump (9) including a casing (10) and a movable member (11) for entraining water between an inlet orifice (12) connected to the said water reservoir (5) and a discharge orifice (13) connected to the said steam generator (4), as well as a means (15) for treating the water, which means is particularly intended to remove the minerals from the water. According to the invention, the pump (9) is particularly of the centrifugal type and has a free circulation of water between the two, inlet (12) and discharge (13), orifices, at least when the entrainment member (11) is at rest. <IMAGE>

Centrale de repassage à vapeur comprenant un fer à repasser (1) équipé d'une semelle chauffante (2) présentant des trous (3) de sortie de vapeur, un générateur de vapeur (4) communiquant avec lesdits trous de vapeur, un réservoir d'eau indépendant (5), une pompe électrique (9) comportant un carter (10) et un organe mobile (11) d'entraînement de l'eau entre un orifice d'admission (12) relié audit réservoir d'eau (5) et un orifice de refoulement (13) relié audit générateur de vapeur (4), ainsi qu'un moyen (15) de traitement de l'eau destiné notamment à la déminéraliser. Selon l'invention, la pompe (9) est notamment du type centrifuge et présente une libre circulation d'eau entre les deux orifices d'admission (12) et de refoulement (13) au moins lorsque l'organe d'entraînement (11) est au repos. <IMAGE>
