Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0557973A1] The longitudinally displaceable interlocking roofing tile (1) is provided with an essentially uniform profiling on the upper side. The head interlocking part contains a head edge rib which extends over the entire width of the tile. In addition to a side interlocking part (5) and a top interlocking part (3), the tile also has a foot interlocking part (4) with an outer foot interlocking rib. In the region of troughs (614, 616), U-shaped ribs with oblique side walls on both U-legs are integrally formed on the rear side of the tile. The plaster fin on the foot side runs essentially in one level in the region of the side interlocking part and top interlocking part and of the elevated central zone (612). When placing the tile on the roof, a vertical side expansion joint is obtained. The interlocking roofing tile is to be resistant to frost, avoid damage during transportation and, despite the longitudinal displaceability when placed on the a roof, is to be sealed. The foot interlocking part (4) has, in the region of the troughs, in each case one chamber which is planar on the underside, encloses the U-rib and is adjoined by the outer foot interlocking rib. On the side (914) of the chamber, the plaster fin is drawn, in the form of a U, downwards to the edge of the tile. The surface of each trough (614, 616) is provided with a gently curved tongue which reaches as far as the plaster fin. <IMAGE>
