Abstract (en)
A safety helmet 10 with crown 12 includes a headband 32 with a strip which can be adjusted by means of a first inverter pinion mechanism 38 interacting with a first rack 42 and a second rack 44 which are disposed at the two opposite ends of the strip. A manoeuvring ring 46 is accessible from the outside in order to make adjustments with just one hand when the user is wearing the helmet 10. The double rack 42, 44 is arranged on the side of the crown 12 and permits perfect centring, independently of the size of the headband (head measurement). Application: speleology, mountaineering, construction sites, etc. <IMAGE>

Un casque de sécurité 10 à calotte 12 comporte un tour de tête 32 à bande réglable au moyen d'un premier mécanisme 38 à pignon inverseur coopérant avec une première crémaillère 42 et une deuxième crémaillère 44 disposées aux deux extrémités opposées de la bande. Une bague de manoeuvre 46 est accessible depuis l'extérieur pour opérer le réglage d'une seule main lorsque le casque 10 se trouve sur la tête de l'utilisateur. La crémaillère double 42, 44 est agencée sur le côté de la calotte 12 et autorise un centrage parfait indépendamment de la taille du tour de tête. Application : spéléologie, alpinisme, chantiers de construction, etc... <IMAGE>
