Abstract (en)
The method and device for injecting or introducing, according to the invention, make it possible to inject or to introduce a product into a cigarette rod (12A). In this manner it is possible to modify the flavour, respectively increasing it or reducing it, of the smoke during the combustion of the cigarette. In order that the injected product can be precisely metered, its injection takes place when the tobacco rod is formed, just before it is completely surrounded by its paper wrapper (14). A support (21) enables the position of the injection nozzle (20) to be regulated in order for the aperture (20A) thereof to penetrate to the interior of the rod and create an empty space in the centre of the rod, the product then being injected into this empty space. The injected product may be in the form of a liquid, vaporised or not, in the form of a gel, a paste or a powder. According to one embodiment, the introduced product may also be in the form of a segmented solid product (26). <IMAGE>

Par le procédé et le dispositif d'injection ou d'introduction selon l'invention, il est possible d'injecter ou introduire un produit à l'intérieur d'un boudin (12A) de cigarette. De cette manière, il est possible de modifier le goût, respectivement de l'augmenter ou de le diminuer, de la fumée durant la combustion de la cigarette. Afin que le produit injecté puisse être exactement dosé, son injection a lieu lorsque le boudin de tabac est formé, juste avant qu'il soit complètement entouré de sa couverture de papier (14). Un support (21) permet de régler la position de la buse d'injection (20) afin que l'orifice (20A) de celle-ci pénètre à l'intérieur du boudin et créé un espace vide au centre du boudin, le produit étant alors injecté dans cet espace vide. Le produit injecté peut se présenter sous forme d'un liquide, éventuellement vaporisé, sous forme d'un gel, d'une pâte ou d'une poudre. Selon une forme d'exécution, le produit introduit peut aussi se présenter sous la forme d'un produit solide (26) en segment. <IMAGE>
