[origin: WO9209843A1] The invention provides that an underground pipeline or passageway (10) is lined using a thermoplastic pipe. The pipe is extruded vertically downwards into a manhole (14) and then is fed into the pipeline or passageway (10) to be lined. The extrudate (34) is provided with longitudinal folds (38) so it will temporarily take up a reduced cross section. When in the pipeline or passageway (10) it is expanded up to size to line the pipeline or passageway (10) surface. It is kept hot and soft until it is expanded, when it is cooled so that it will retain its full size shape.

L'invention se rapporte à la pose d'un revêtement interne dans un pipeline ou un tunnel souterrain, qui consiste à utiliser un tuyau thermoplastique. Le tuyau est extrudé à la verticale et vers le bas dans un trou d'homme (14) et est ensuite introduit dans le pipeline ou le tunnel (10) dans lequel le revêtement doit être posé. Le tuyau extrudé (34) est pourvu de plis longitudinaux (38) de sorte que sa coupe transversale est temporairement réduite. Lorsqu'il est à l'intérieur du pipeline ou du tunnel (10), le tuyau est élargi jusqu'à atteindre sa grandeur normale afin de produire un revêtement de surface du pipeline ou du tunnel (10). Le tuyau demeure chaud et mou jusqu'à ce qu'il soit gonflé, après quoi il est refroidi de façon à retenir sa forme lorsqu'il est à sa grandeur maximale.
