[origin: WO9208940A1] A method of heating lamellae (11) which comprises conveying the lamellae through a tunnel oven (42) in spaced array with their planes generally parallel and approximately perpendicular to the direction of travel, the lamellae being preceded and succeeded by baffle plates or doors (47) which move with the lamellae, lie in planes approximately parallel to the lamellae and have dimensions which approximately match the cross sectional dimensions of the tunnel. The baffles may be attached to racks (13) in which the lamellae are carried but they may be movable through the oven independently of the lamellae. A preferred procedure is as follows: position two doors, A and B, at the entrance end of the oven, move the doors forward with the first door A being releasably held at the exit end and the second door B being releasably held at the entry end of the oven, then introduce a batch of lamellae (11) to the entry end of the oven while moving the second door B through the oven to the exit end and moving the first door A out of the oven; then introduce third and fourth doors C and D to the entry end of the oven and move the third door C through the oven behind the lamellae to the exit end and releasably hold the third door there; and hold the fourth door D at the entry end.

Procédé pour chauffer des lamelles (11) qui comprend l'acheminement des lamelles dans un four tunnel (42) suivant un réseau espacé dans lequel leurs plans sont globalement parallèles et pratiquement perpendiculaires au sens de passage, les lamelles étant précédées et suivies par des chicanes ou des portes de déviation (47) qui se déplacent avec les lamelles, se trouvant sur un plan pratiquement parallèle aux lamelles et dont les dimensions correspondent approximativement aux dimensions en coupe transversale du tunnel. Les déflecteurs peuvent être fixés sur des grilles (13) transportant les lamelles mais ils doivent pouvoir être mobiles dans le four indépendamment des lamelles. Le procédé préféré est le suivant: on place deux portes A et B, à l'extrémité d'entrée du four, on déplace les portes vers l'avant, la première porte A étant maintenue de manière libérable au niveau de l'extrémité de sortie et la deuxième porte B étant maintenue de manière libérable au niveau de l'extrémité d'entrée du four, puis on introduit une série de lamelles (11) dans l'extrémité d'entrée du four tout en déplaçant la deuxième porte B dans le four jusqu'à l'extrémité de sortie et on déplace la première porte A et on la fait sortir du four; on introduit alors les troisième et quatrième porte C et D jusqu'à l'extrémité d'entrée du four et on déplace la troisième porte C dans le four, derrière les lamelles jusqu'à l'extrémité de sortie et on y maintient de manière libérable la troisième porte; et on maintient la quatrième porte D au niveau de l'extrémité d'entrée.
