[origin: WO9209503A1] A microwave package (10) is provided containing a quantity of hot melt adhesive (14) including cements, coatings, and sealants, having a melt temperature range which is capable of being changed from a substantially solid state to a flowable state when subjected to microwave energy. The hot melt adhesive (14) may be of the type which is activatable without microwave susceptors, i.e., of a water retaining type, or may be of a type including microwave susceptors (34). The package preferably comprises a flexible pouch (12) defining a chamber within which the hot melt adhesive is received. The receptable includes a layer of microwave transparent material (16) for defining the chamber (13). A dispensing means (24) is provided as part of the pouch for permitting the hot melt adhesive to be dispensed from the pouch by squeezing the flexible pouch when the hot melt adhesive is microwave heated to its flowable state. Also, the package advantageously includes an insulating means (30) for facilitating the handling of the package and the dispensing of hot melt adhesive from the package when the hot melt adhesive is microwave heated to its flowable state.

Est décrit un conditionnement conçu pour micro-ondes (10) contenant une certaine quantité d'adhésif thermofusible (14) et notamment des mastics, enduits, et matériaux d'étanchéité, ayant une plage thermique de fusion variable pour passer d'un état sensiblement solide à un état coulant lorsque ledit adhésif est soumis à une énergie micro-ondes. L'adhésif thermofusible (14) peut être du type activable sans substances réagissant aux micro-ondes, c'est-à-dire d'un type retenant l'eau, ou bien peut être d'un type renfermant des substances réagissant aux micro-ondes (34). Le conditionnement comprend de préférence un sachet souple (12) définissant une chambre à l'intérieur de laquelle est logé l'adhésif thermofusible. Ce récipient comprend une couche de matière (16) transparente aux micro-ondes, qui définit la chambre (13). Le sachet comporte un diffuseur (24) permettant la distribution de l'adhésif thermofusible par pression sur le sachet souple lorsque l'adhésif est coulant après chauffage aux micro-ondes. De même, le conditionnement comprend avantageusement un moyen d'isolation (30) facilitant sa manipulation et la distribution de l'adhésif thermofusible lorsqu'il est coulant après chauffage aux micro-ondes.
